Objective
To use my extensive knowledge and combined experience in media production and post-production, psychology and communications, writing, directing, photography and web design to help produce exciting programs, explore and develop new markets and improved methods of content delivery and communication while being entertaining and informative.
Strengths
Passion, creativity, time-based completion of tasks, coordination of people and workflow, budgeting and general troubleshooting. Proficient in camera (video and still), lighting, sound, Adobe CS4, Media100 and Final Cut Studio. Proficient with projects large and small. Strong web design skills with CMS software, HTML, CSS, etc.
Professional Experience:
I have worked in broadcast television, commercial video, and website design my entire career. After starting out at a small television station in the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area as an on-air director, I moved to Hollywood, CA and began my career in broadcast television, eventually directing and or editing hundreds of hours of programming for Paramount, CBS, NBC, Smith-Hemion, George Schlatter and many other independent production entities.
I moved with my family to Colorado in 1995 and have been producing broadcast, corporate, government and educational programming for varied clients through my company, Flashback Media Productions (www.flashback.tv).
I am an accomplished director, editor, graphics artist and web designer. Along the way, a hobby in programming caused the development of Strassner Editing Systems, the last of the PC based linear editing controllers, used by companies like Jim Henson Productions, Paramount, MTV and many more. Over 400 high-end systems were installed over 4 years.
One more thing: I love what I do!
